Electricity distribution fees

Network service price list

General and night-time distribution products are available for connections with more than one place of use when the fuse size is a maximum of 3×50 A. Night-time distribution requires a 3-phase connection.

The MV power distribution product is available at voltage levels of 10 kV and 20 kV. In LV power distribution and MV power distribution products, the free share of reactive power is 20% of the measured active power of each month.. Feeding reactive power into the network is prohibited.

The contracted capacity of the power fee is determined by the highest amount of energy consumed in one hour measured during the previous 12 months. Changing your network service product is free of charge and the product can be changed when at least 12 months have passed since the previous change. The products are freely selectable with the limitations stated in the price list. Electricity tax is levied on all electric energy distributed to customers.

Electricity tax

Electricity tax is levied on all electric energy distributed to customers through the distribution network. Electricity tax bracket I includes private households, agriculture and forestry, construction, service sector enterprises and the public sector. Electricity tax bracket II includes manufacturing, mining, quarrying or professional greenhouse cultivation.

All our customers automatically belong to tax bracket I, unless they have indicated otherwise. In order for taxation to be carried out in accordance with tax bracket II, the company must fill in the form ‘Declaration of operations in accordance with tax bracket II of the excise duty on electricity’ (Excel, in Finnish).

Electricity network power fee

Fixed costs account for approximately 75 per cent of the costs of electricity network operations. They are incurred regardless of how much energy is transmitted in the network.

As the technical dimensioning and costs of the network are largely determined by the power taken from the network, the network service fees of Lahti Energia Sähköverkko include a power fee. However, a power fee is not charged in blocks of flats, terraced houses or semi-detached houses unless you yourself have switched to one of our network service products that includes a power fee.

The purpose of the power fee is to guide the customer to reduce consumption peaks in electricity use. Lower consumption peaks in the electricity network reduce our need to make changes and new investments in the network, which is reflected in cheaper network service fees for you.
