Moving checklist

Are you moving? Read the instructions on what you should check and do well in advance of your move.

District heating

If you are a district heating customer, please do the following two things when you move:

  1. Give us your new address easily in OmaWatti or contact our customer service.
  2. When the owner of a property changes, the district heating connection usually also changes owners. Notify us of the change conveniently using the electronic form Change the connection owner.

The owner of the district heating connection usually pays the bills. By way of exception, invoices can also be addressed to, for example, a tenant. In this case, the connection owner and the party paying the bills must fill in the form Notification to transfer the billing for district heating.

Change the connection owner

Electricity

Terminating your electricity network service contract and making a new one is handled with the electricity supplier of your choice. Lahti Energy is not an electricity retailer. The electricity network service contract will be automatically updated in our information system based on the sales contract. You can check OmaWatti to make sure that your details have been updated.

Change in property ownership?

When the owner of a property changes, the electricity connection usually also changes owners. The connection is movable property that is not automatically transferred to the new owner. Instead, the transfer must be agreed upon in writing. The easiest way to take care of the change of ownership is to mention the transfer of the connection in the deed of sale of the property.

Notify us of the change of ownership conveniently using an electronic form.
