At Lahti Energy, we employ more than 200 professionals from different fields on a permanent basis. Our team includes both young talent and more experienced veterans, with the longest employment relationships lasting up to 40 years. In order for employees to stay with us for a long time in the future as well, we assess our operations regularly and change our course if needed.

Information for job applicants

Our recruitment process is clear and transparent so that we can both know with confidence that your recruitment has been successful as a new employee of Lahti Energy.

We often process applications already during the application period, at the end of which we invite the applicants who are best suited for the position to an interview. After the application period has ended, we will inform not only the interviewees but also all the other applicants of the progress of the process as soon as possible. We arrange one or two interview rounds per recruitment, and it usually takes 1–3 weeks to complete one round of interviews.

We require at least minimal knowledge of the Finnish language in most of the jobs we offer. The skill level requirement depends on the role in question, so feel free to describe your language skills in your application, as well as your interests in your internship and thesis worker application.

Open application

If we do not currently have a vacancy for you, send us an open application! Fill in the application form by supplying the requested information and tell us about your expertise and what kind of jobs you are interested in. We regularly review all the open applications we receive and present them to the appropriate supervisors. If we notice that there may be a need for your expertise, we will contact you directly.

Even if there is no suitable position available right now, we will inform you as soon as possible and keep your application active for 12 months. If our situation with regard to jobs changes, we may contact you again during that time.

Students

We offer students working life-oriented internships and thesis worker positions every year. Regardless of education level and study module, we consider it important that you get to do real work and demonstrate your strengths. You can apply for internship and thesis worker positions all year round.

Thesis

Over the years, students have done nearly 100 theses of different contents and levels for us. Every year, we offer opportunities for students from different fields for theses at higher education institutions and vocational schools, as well as for master’s theses at universities. If you are interested in writing your thesis for us, feel free to introduce yourself, your thoughts and perhaps also your own topic proposal in your application.

Internship

If you are interested in the energy sector and are looking for an internship as part of your upper secondary studies, please let us know in more detail what kind of internship you would like. It is important to us that you get to apply what you have learned at school during your internship, and also learn more. We hope that we will also learn new thoughts and ideas from you during your internship.

Summer jobs

We offer responsible summer jobs to dozens of young people of different ages and educational backgrounds every year. We consider it important that in all of our summer jobs, you get to do real work that provides useful tools both professionally and for working life in general.
